One of the nicest ways of seeing the area is by train. The little train from Ceske Budejovice wends its way through the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Blansky Les (Blansko Forest) before arriving at Cesky Krumlov. After Cesky Krumlov it goes on via stops along Lipno Lake through the Sumava National Park to Volary.

Many of our visitors have commented that the train ride is an excursion in itself.
Cesky Krumlov’s train station is to be found on a hill in the outskirts of the town, about a 15 minute walk from the town centre. Buses run from the Spicak bus stop to the station or you can take a taxi.
Travelling by Bus Around Cesky Krumlov Area
For the more adventurous you may be interested in using the local bus network - many local villages and towns are serviced by buses leaving Cesky Krumlov’s bus station. However the bus drivers usually do not speak English and so be prepared to try out your best Czech. The main bus station is only 5 minutes walk from the historic town centre.
There are several cycle hire businesses in Cesky Krumlov. Cycles are allowed on many of the local trains and there is a system for cycles to be hired at certain stations and dropped off at others. There is good system of colour-coded cycle routes with distinctive yellow signboards and you can buy special maps showing these in the Tourism Information Centre shop on Cesky Krumlov’s Town Square.
The shuttles such as Shuttlebus.cz or Sebastian also offer tours to attractions around Cesky Krumlov.
